Tetrabenazine
My neurologist gave me a prescription for Tetrabenazine on Thursday(11March2010) to see how that works for my shaking, tremors, etc which has been getting worse over time. It's affecting my walking, holding things and such.
I see him again in July and if the drug is not working for me, then he'll consider sending me to Brisbane(Australia) for the operation they use for Parkinson's, etc instead. Otherwise, I'm waiting to see the neurosurgeon for a biopsy where they take a tissue sample from the muscle in my calf and should from Mitochondrial Disturbance. After two weeks of this drug, I stopped taking them for they made me worse. Felt like I had Parkinson's Disease actually. Started to have upto a few seconds of feeling lost.
