  • Recently diagnosed with TS

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if the government offers and income assistance to people with TS. I was recently diagnosed with TS and I am finding it impossible to go to work each day. Thank you for your help,

    Hi Steve

I have a child with TS but also have a little knowledge about what you are asking as I work as a Social Worker.

My suggestion is that you contact your local office of Minnistry of Community and Social Services and get directed to the Ontario Disability Support Program.

You can pick up an application there, or maybe even on-line.

Your doctor needs to fill out most of the paperwork.

Not to discourage you, but it does take several months to process an application, so if this is the path you choose, you should get the form ASAP.

    Best of luck to you,
Mother of 10 year old son with TS
