  • Tourette Syndrome Association (U.S.A.) Rebranding

A New Name. A New Tagline. A New Mission Statement. A New Website URL. A New Way to Talk About Tourette.

As we officially kick-off Tourette Awareness Month, what better time than now for people to learn the truth about Tourette and Tic Disorders! While we have made great strides in raising awareness, we still have a long way to go to combat the many myths and misconceptions that continue to mislead public perceptions about the disorder. We're telling our story in a more powerful way, and getting the word out through a refreshed Name, Logo, Tagline and Website URL.

We have changed our name from the national Tourette Syndrome Association to Tourette Association of America in order to better reflect our mission and spark a conversation about Tourette and Tic Disorders on a national scale. Plus, we have now eliminated the TSA acronym!

Check out our new logo! It's colorful and more free flowing than our previous logo, and one that celebrates the individual with uplifting, positive motion, captures the energy of our community and represents the new direction we are headed in finding unique, creative ways to get the public energized about our mission.

Our new tagline, Awareness. Research. Support., gets straight to the point. It highlights what we do and showcases our multi-pronged approach toward building a better community for all those affected by Tourette and Tic Disorders.

We have also streamlined our mission statement to better reflect our vision and change from a cure-focused mission to one that is representative of the work we do and the people we serve: The Tourette Association is dedicated to making life better for all people affected by Tourette and Tic Disorders.

And on May 22, our website will have a new URL:! You can still find the same wealth of information, but with an easier, clearer website name to share and say. Staff e-mails at our national office are also changing to But don't worry if you forget, the website and our emails will be redirected automatically!

Now during Tourette Awareness Month, we invite you to join our community and get involved in your local Tourette Association Chapter or Support Group!

And don't forget to wear teal on Tuesdays during Tourette Awareness Month! Tag your photos #TealTuesdays on Facebook, Twitter and on our NEW Instagram account!
