    Default Is it discrimination?

    Figures show in some public schools, special education students are suspended at twice the rate of other elementary students. This is evidence of discrimination, say critics of the Safe Schools Act.

    "It's a human rights issue and the numbers are clear indication that students with special education needs are being discriminated against," said Hamilton Pro Bono Project co-ordinator Mark Williams.

    I am so glad someone out there realizes there is an issue.

    This is something I have been pushing to get corrected in our area and we have lived through personally.

    I am sure you've seen my other responses to this concern.
