A friend of mine on Facebook linked me to this:

    http://www.pinkshirtday.ca/2011/09/1...s-of-teenager/

It makes me sad because it describes what I went through, not only because of Tourettes but because I was considered to be effeminate and queer, which I now now is because I'm trans.

    Sadness.

Thank you for sharing this tragic story, demonstrating the senselessness of bullying among young people.

Here is an editorial on this sad news from the Hamilton Spectator entitled "Taking the bull by the horns in bullying":

    http://www.thespec.com/opinion/edito...ns-in-bullying

It ends with some good news, about the community receiving
A $130,800 Ontario Trillium Foundation grant was announced Saturday. The grant means the Suicide Prevention Community Council of Hamilton is able to hire a co-ordinator to spend two years building and implementing a prevention strategy with local schools and groups.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the Howell family over this terrible loss. We are grateful to them for sharing their story so that change can continue to occur in their community.
