    Post Nutrition 101

What are the principles of good nutrition?

How do we avoid junk food diets when, as North Americans we crave sweet, salt and fat?

Do you read the labels of the foods that you buy?

These resources might provide some insights:

Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide - Health Canada

Nutrition.gov - A service of the National Agricultural Library, USDA.

Yes, I read all labels of foods I buy and avoid buying products geared to kids that include high sugar, glucose, fructose, MSG, sulfphites, and any other man-made ingredients I've never heard of. I also avoid trans fats and any "modified" fats as well as gluten if possible. Not including these ingredients and teaching your kids healthy eating habits (smoothies, juicing, fruits and veggies) will go a long way towards having a TS kid in a more stable mood...check out Hungry for Change or The Beautiful Truth

Hungry for Change is a new documentary on food and The Beautiful Truth is an older one on the healing benefits of food and juicing.
