    Default Challenges of Living with TS: Health and Social Aspects

    The Tourette Association (U.S.)-CDC partnership now offers 3 articles as part of a new resource series:
    Challenges of Living with TS: Health and Social Aspects, accessible on the Tourette Association website.

    These articles will help physicians and other health providers, as well as families, understand some of the common challenges that children with TS face.

    Geared towards families dealing with a new diagnosis:
    Receiving a Diagnosis of Tourette Syndrome by James Leckman, MD.

    Geared towards clinicians regarding the physical health risks associated with medications:
    Associated Physical Health Issues with Tourette Syndrome by Valsamma Eapen, MBBS, PhD, FRCPsych, FRANZCP.

    Geared towards families and clinicians interested in the social, emotional, and behavioral development of children with TS:
    Social Functioning in Tourette Syndrome by Denis G. Sukhodolsky, PhD.

    Additionally, as part of this series, the Tourette Association-CDC partnership would like to encourage families, teens and young adults to check out a great webinar program that was held on February 24, titled Transitions to Independence presented by Barbara Coffey, MD, MS. The webinar and slide set can be viewed here.
